How to Upgrade, Repair, Disassemble a Palmax Laptop or Notebook

Palmax PD-1000 When the PD-1000 is in the docking station, you can use a modified LapLink 5 cable. The modification is on pins 24 and 25. You have to connect them to Pin 23 on both ends. This is due to a design feature for autodetecting a floppy/parallel port. A Pin out scheme is included.
Palmax PD-1000/1100  [archived link] It is very simple to install larger hard disks and more RAM.

Support for Palmax laptops and notebooks is now given by TidalPower , they offer official User Guides but unlike Service Manuals they only provide guides to upgrade or replace Field Replaceable Units - FRUs, such as memory and hard disk drives.
